I hate when people make status’s to get attention on something like Facebook. Or when people complain about how underprivileged they are. I think if they want attention they should find a positive, less annoying way to get it. And when they complain about how much things suck they should think about the fact that they have a computer to even use for Facebook.
While I think it is our right as a citizen to protect ourselves but, I think taking it to the extent of carrying a gun is a bit too much. I think things like pocket knives or pepper spray are reasonable and if someone is trying to harm you, they can do the job. If someone who is carrying either of those and is forced to use them then their “attacker” had to be close to them there for validating the “self-defense” excuse.

I think that if they are U.S. citizens they should have every right that we have.That is stupid that they are not allowed to vote for the person that is governing them.I think they should protest.If they aren’t allowed to vote then why are they allowed to hold a primary?
I believe people should have the right to vote, because if they don’t have the right, the Constitution is garbage, and the politics are not caring about it any more. If the politicians DO care, they should believe in what the constitution says for a change.

yes, i believe if the people of Puerto Rico are considered US citizens they should have a right to vote. i feel that since we are so accepting of people coming to america and equality then they should be treated as such. i don’t see as to why they aren’t allowed to vote as it is. that’s like saying people who live in Georgia are considered US citizens but aren’t allowed to vote.
I think that if Puerto Rico is to be considered a part of the United States, then the citizens there should have the right to vote in November in the presidential election. I think it is unfair that Puerto Rico gets to have the ability to vote for the nominee. They vote every year whether or not to become a state and gain the ability to vote for the president. If they do become a state they would have to pay federal taxes, since they choose not to become a state they can’t be touched by the federal law. They get to much say in the U.S. as it is for not paying taxes to it, but I do believe that they should be American citizens.
I do not think Puerto Rico should be able to vote in the Presidential Election because only states are given the right to vote in our country. I do think Puerto Rico should be able to request statehood, however. If they want to become a state, they can but their people keep voting not to become a state. If they choose not to be a state, they don’t have to pay taxes, but do not get the option to vote. I don’t think they should be able to vote for the nominee, because they can’t vote for the president anyway.

The people in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico are technically U.S. citizens, enjoying many of the same rights and living under the same laws that we do here in the contiguous 48 states. However, although it does hold its own primary, the territory cannot vote in the Presidential elections. I think we should change that law, and allow all territories to vote in all of our elections. It is only fair, considering that they’re Americans too.
