Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. The people who live there are U.S. citizens. They don`t get to vote in U.S. presidential elections, but they are part of the nominating process.

Your Question:

Since people who live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens and are a part of the nomination process for the U.S. presidency should they be given a vote in the presidential election which will be held this November?

Why or Why Not?

  1. I hate when people make status’s to get attention on something like Facebook. Or when people complain about how underprivileged they are. I think if they want attention they should find a positive, less annoying way to get it. And when they complain about how much things suck they should think about the fact that they have a computer to even use for Facebook.

  2. While I think it is our right as a citizen to protect ourselves but, I think taking it to the extent of carrying a gun is a bit too much. I think things like pocket knives or pepper spray are reasonable and if someone is trying to harm you, they can do the job. If someone who is carrying either of those and is forced to use them then their “attacker” had to be close to them there for validating the “self-defense” excuse.

  3. I THOUGHT THOS E TWO THINGS WERE THE SAME THING so idk how to answer it but i think they should bc why not its not like there bad people or anything
    \

  4. I think that if they are U.S. citizens they should have every right that we have. That is stupid that they are not allowed to vote for the person that is governing them.I think they should protest. If they aren’t allowed to vote then why are they allowed to hold a primary?

  5. I believe people should have the right to vote, because if they don’t have the right, the Constitution is garbage, and the politics are not caring about it any more. If the politicians DO care, they should believe in what the constitution says for a change.

  6. Of course they should. They are American citizens now and they have the right to vote for the next president. And pretty much everything else Americans do.

  7. i think that they should be able to vote if they are true us citizens then they can vote

  8. They sure deserve to vote because they’re citizens

  9. I think that since how Puerto Rico helps out with the nomination of whose running up against the president, they should be able to vote for the who the president is. Also, if they are part of the United States, that means that he/she is their president as well. They should have a say on who their president is.

  10. I do think they should be able to vote because they are part of this country. I think everyone has the right to vote. It is their president too, so if they are going to be governed by the new president they should vote

  11. Yes, because they are apart of the United States and they should be able to vote.

  12. Yes people who live in Puerto Rico should be given a vote in the U.S. presidential vote because they are U.S. citizens. It wouldn’t be right if they weren’t allow to vote because everybody has a say in who they think should be President.

  13. i think that they should be able to vote cause they are a part of the u.s and ever one should be able to vote for who they want them to be their president just like ever one ales can

  14. I think that they should be given a vote in the election. If the Puerto Ricans are US citizens, they should be able to vote. It would be unconstitutional to not allow them to vote in November.

  15. I do believe they should be able to vote for the U.S president. They get to participate in nominating political nominees so why shouldn’t they be allowed to vote for president. Also even though they are a territory, are decisions here affects them.

  16. I think that the people of Puerto Rico should be allowed to vote in the 2012 US election because they are a part of the United States. There president is our president and they should have a say in who they want in office. We don’t want them to feel like they are not part of our country.

  17. I think that Puerto Ricans should be allowed to vote because if they are part of the nomination process then why can’t they be part of the election process? That’s why I think that they can vote in the presidential elections.

  18. I think that the people of Porter Rico should be aloud to vote. I f they are U.S. citizens they should be aloud to vote like all other U.S. citizens are. Not letting them vote is denying them their equal rights.

  19. I think that Puerto Rico should be able to vote for the President because they are part of the U.S. and they have as much of a right as the rest of the U.S.

  20. i think that scene they are part of the united states that they should be able to vote on how is the next president. I mean if they can vote on who is a candidate how come they can not vote on how should be the next president. it is their country to so they should vote.

  21. They should be given a vote for the U.S. presidency because they are the U.S. citizens. It is the same as one state not getting a vote or a say in anything. Puerto Rico needs to start being a state because it is. They should just make them a state already. #ididntforgetthehashtag

  22. I think they should because they are a part of the U.S and they have the right to vote for who every they want to and they are also part of the U S and that’s why they should vote.

  23. I think that yes, they should be able to because they are part of the United Stated. Also we share presidents, so they should have a say in who their president is.

  24. I don’t see why they shouldn’t be allowed to vote, since they are considered U.S citizens. As citizens, they should have the right to vote for their president, just as much as we should. They already nominate candidates, so what is the big deal about having them vote?

  25. Yes I do think that they get a vote because they are apart of the U.S citizenship and I don’t see why they can’t vote if you are apart then you should be able to vote that is apart of your rights.

  26. I think Peurto Rico should be able to legally vote because they are considered part of the United States. They aren’t affected much by our laws, but still.

  27. Yes they should because like a lot of people have been saying, they are a part of the United States, plus they have the right to vote for who ever they want, just like all of the other states.

  28. Yes i think that people who live in Puerto Rico should have a vote in the presidential election because they are U.S. citizens and everyone who is a part of this country should have the right to vote. They are our people and them voting will help us decide and give each candidate more votes.

  29. They are a part of the us so they should this is because our president is also there president, they should be able to vote since they are apart of the us.

  30. I think that if people that live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens then they should be able to vote if they want. But if you are not a legal citizen yet and live in Puerto Rico you should not be able to vote. If they are English speaking people and live in the U.S they should be able to elect a president.

  31. No, they decided to live in Puerto Rico, if they wanted to vote they should live in good old ‘Merica. Yeah, that is all I really have to say about this issue, I don’t really care if they want to vote or not.

  32. I think the people of Puerto Rico should be able to vote. IF they are U.S citizens and follow U.S laws they should be able to participate in the elections for a new president. Nothing bad could happen from letting these people participate in this vote.

  33. I think it would be fair if they had the right to vote for our president. All U.S citizens have there rights to vote and if they r U.S citizens its their right too.

  34. Yes, because They are apart of the United States, and it wouldn’t be fair if they can’t vote.

  35. Yes, because they are still technically part of the United States. They have the same rights we do too vote for for their leader. It wouldn’t make sense not to not give them the vote.

  36. I dont really think so, i would say that they should apply to become a state if they want to be able to vote. I mean, they may be a part of the US, but they are not a state.

  37. I think that they should be aloud to vote. I think this because if they are citizens than should be allowed to vote. They also hold primary’s so if they do this to they should be aloud to vote

  38. Yes i think the people who live in Puerto Rico should be aloud to vote this November because they are U.S. citizens so that should be enough to allow them to put their vote in.

  39. yes they should get a part in the vote, because they are apart of the country.
If they are going to be controlled by the person, they should have to the chance to vote for them too.

  40. I think the people of Puerto Rico should be able to vote. If they are U.S citizens and follow U.S. laws they should be able to vote for president. There couldn’t be anything that could be bad from letting this happen

  41. I think they should, because they are going to have the same president as the United States. They are a part of the U.S.

  42. People in Puerto Rico should be able to vote in presidential elections because the change in Presidency will effect them too. If they dont want a certain person in office then they should be able to vote against that person.

  43. yes , i believe that they should be able to vote . they are a part of the united states , and should have the right to have a say in who the president is . and if you don’t let certain people vote , then that’s not fair to them .

  44. Yes, They should be included in the presidential election. If they are considered a part of U.S. territory, then they should have a say what happens to that territory and who controls it. It also depends on if they want to be a part of it. If they don’t care, then so be it. They don’t have to vote.

  45. i think they should because they are a part of the united states, and if our president is also their president, they should have a vote to who should be their president. Just like we have a vote to who should be ours.

  46. Yes, because if they are classified citizens of the United States, then they should have the rights to vote in the next election, not just have an opinion of who should be voted president.

  47. yes they should be given the right to vote if they are a part of the U.S.

  48. yes if they are apart of the american society

  49. if they are american citizens anyone should be able to vote if older that 18

  50. yes because if they are part of our country then they should get a vote it would be like Hawaii not getting a vote.

  51. Sure if they are apart of the united states.

  52. I think it would only be fair for them to vote. They don’t have any reason for why they should not be able to. That would be the same thing as taking away our voting rights because we are in the U.S territory. Even if they are in Puerto Rico, they are still American Citizens. That would be like taking away voting right to people who live in Hawaii just because they are on an island. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t vote!!

  53. Yes, I think that Peurto Rico should be able to vote for the President because they are part of the United States.

  54. Yes I think Puerto Rico should get a vote because they are apart of the united states and it would only be fair.

  55. I believe that, yes, citizens in Puerto Rico should be able to vote. Because people of any part of the United States are allowed to vote. Why not a US territory, i dont understand. Another thing, that even though they’re part of the nomination proccess, they should be able to vote.

  56. Um, I don’t think they should be allowed to vote. I mean, they’re not true Americans. I doubt that they even care about our government.

  57. I think that people in Puerto Rico should have the right to vote in U.S presidential elections because they are a part of the United States. If we have the same president as them, they should have the same rights as everyone else in the United States. It’s not fair that they are only a part of the nomination process.

  58. i think they should be able too. they are a part of the USA they should be able to vote.they pay taxes just like everybody else so they should get a say too.

  59. yes i think if your a u.s citizen you should still be able to vote even if u live in another country or not. they are still considered u.s citizens so they should still be able to vote like one.

  60. I think that they should be able to vote for the president because all of the laws we pass effect them too, it is like when the US wanted representation in England’s government and they fought to have their own rules. It is almost the same situation because they are not really represented, all they can do is vote for who will be running but they can’t have an effect on who is elected.

  61. I don’t think they should because our laws never really affect them anyway? And it’s not like they’re an important part of our country so why do we need their opinion on our government?

  62. I feel that the people in Puerto Rico to deserve to vote since it is technically part of the united states. And we in the u.s. get to vote for our

  63. yes, because they can help people in the loge run and it would help the voting to a Little bit faster. and what if some people want to be in the raise.

  64. I do think that they should get a vote at the election because they are considered U.S. citizens. We are considered U.S. citizens and we are allowed to vote. Just because that you might not be part of an actual state, doesn’t mean that you don’t get a say on who your own president will be. They are still part of the U.S.

  65. I say yes, just because it wouldn’t be fair if they didn’t and also i don’t think it will make that big of a deal if they do. Its their president too.

  66. i think they should be able to vote if they are part of the u.s. they are american citizens and so are we, why not let them? they should be allowed to vote just as much as we are.

  67. Yes, I think they should have the right to vote, because they are counted as part of the united states. They should get a chance to vote for their president as well.

  68. I think its fair if they get to vote because they are apart of the U.S. and if they are then it should give them the right to vote. There isn’t much to say about it but i think they should be able to vote in the election.

  69. I think the people in Puerto Rico should be given voting, because they are American citizens and they share the same president.

  70. i do not think that Puerto Ricans because they are in a completely different place. and if our president isn’t also their president, they shouldn’t have a vote to who should be their president Just like how we have a vote to who should be ours.

  71. I think that considering that Puerto Rico is part of the United States, and our government is theirs that yes they should be able to vote. I don’t think that it’s fair that if 50% or over votes for one side, then automatically everybody votes for them. I feel like we should all have a say.

  72. Yes I think citizens in Puerto Rico should be allowed to! If they’re a U.S. citizen, and they have the same rights as we do here here in the states, then there’s no reason to why they shouldn’t be allowed to.

  73. Personally I think that the people who live in Puerto Rico should be able to vote in the upcoming election. If they are allowed to vote for the candidates, why shouldn’t they be allowed to vote for president? They are still a part of the United States and considered to be American citizens and therefore they deserve the same rights as us too.

  74. they should b3ecause theu desrive some rights being a terrotory but they do not deserve all the rights we have because they arnt a acul state

  75. i think that they should be allowed to vote because if they are apart of the process then they should vote. if they don’t vote then whats the point of nomination. Also they are U.S. citizens too, they should be able to vote for their president.

  76. I do not think that Puerto Rico should be allowed to vote because they aren’t technically apart of the country. They aren’t completely controlled by the U.S. so they shouldn’t be able to vote for who runs our country.

  77. yes i think puerto rico deserves a vote because they are are a part of our country and are apart of the nomination process and yes because it give ron paul a chance to win

  78. I think that they should be able to participate in the presidential election. I think this because if they are going to nominate someone to become that candidate, even if they are in a territory, they might as well be allowed to vote for the president.

  79. I think they should because it is not really fair that they get to participate in half of the voting but not the biggest part. The president of the United States is in control of them to so they should be able to say who they want it to be. It is like giving a child half of a cookie but not letting them finish it.

  80. I think that the people that live there should be a part of the United States. I think this because our president is theirs as well so they should just be apart of the United States.

  81. Yes, because they are part of the United States like everyone else is. If their president is our president then they should be able to to vote too like everyone else. Its not right to have some people not vote and let everyone else vote!!

  82. if the puerto Rico are us citizens then they should choose who they like to lead them other wise i believe it wont be fair.they have to pay takes and obey our laws they should at least get the chance to vote on a president.

  83. No,They are a territory and if they want to have a part in this vote they should become a state first

  84. Yes they should be able to vote, if they live under our rule they should have the right to decide who should rule it.

  85. I believe that the people in Puerto Rico should have a right in the choice to vote. If they are apart of the voting process, then they should get to choice who they want for president. You can’t just give them half of the election process and not expect them to be upset about not being able to vote.

  86. I think that it would be wrong if there not in the country, but if they are or a part of it they should be able to.

  87. I don’t think that they should be able to vote because they could have been a state but they decided not to and they lost out on some opportunities. If they want to be able to vote they should have became a state when they had the chance.

  88. People who live in Puerto Rico should be allowed to vote. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, you should be allowed to vote for the next president in November.

  89. I think people in Puerto Rico should not be able to vote because they are not part of the continental U.S. They do not truly know what it is like here. It is only what they see on tv.

  90. Yes, I think they should be able to vote in the presidential elections because they are U.S citizens and U.S citizens have the right to vote. Also, if they participate in the nomination process, they should be able to participate in the actual election too.

  91. no all these countries want to be a part of america and when they get to be americans they dont understand what it takes to be american and they dont want to take part in anything that are political system does and it is wrong.

  92. I don’t think that they should be allowed to vote in the U.S election because they are citizens of the U.S but they aren’t a state yet but a territory. Also they have certain requirements to reach before they can become a state. Which then they shouldn’t get the same rights as others when they aren’t a state so no state rights should be okay for them otherwise then there is no point of them as a territory so they shouldn’t be able to vote.

  93. The people that live in Puerto Rico deserve to be able to vote for who will lead them. its very unfair for them technically being us citizens to not be able to vote. They don’t live in the United states but they still get the same rights if we call them U.S. citizens.

  94. I think that they should be allowed to vote at the same time as us because they are U.S. citizens and they have all the same right we have.

  95. I think that Puerto Ricans should get a vote because they have to live under the U.S. Constitution and they have to deal with the laws that the president passes. So they should be able to vote for president because it effects them.

  96. I dont think that they should be able to vote if they are not a country because they are just a territory they really shouldn’t have any say in what president we should elect. Sure it could help the candidate but they are not even a state yet so electing the candidate could be all jacked up.

  97. I think that since they are part of the U.S then they should be able to vote and decide who the president should be. That’s only fair to them. The population requirements may not be met but they still do count to people in the U.S and if it’s going to be their president then yes, they should vote.

  98. they should be able to vote because they are a part of the U.S.

  99. I think that the people who live in Puerto Rico should be able to vote in the upcoming election. If they are allowed to vote for the candidates, why shouldn’t they be allowed to vote for president? They are still a part of the United States and considered to be American citizens and therefore they deserve the same rights as us too.

  100. I think that they should be able to vote. They are US citizens and it is there right to vote. We are all US citizens and all can vote. Why should they not be able to vote.

  101. The people in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens so they should get to vote. They are part of the nomination process but they can’t vote? It isn’t right. they should be able to vote for who they want to be president.

  102. Yes, because they are in U.S citizens and they have to have the same president as us so they should. if they were not able to vote that would be unfair.

  103. I think that people should be able to vote in November because they are U.S. citizens and they should be allowed all the same right that we have. If other states can vote, so can they in my opinion.

  104. I think they should be able to vote, sense they are u.s. citizens they should have the right to vote who leads them. So i do think they have the right because wouldn’t you be mad if you were being lead by someone that you didn’t even get to vote for?

  105. I think that since they have to go by the United States laws, they should be able to vote in the presidential election which will be held this November.

  106. I believe that Puerto Rico should be able to vote for our presidents. If their president is our president, and they are U.S. territory, and they are U.S. Citizens then why shouldn’t they be able to vote? Why aren’t they a state? Alaska is farther away then Puerto Rico and that’s a state. Same goes for Hawaii. I believe that Puerto Rico should be able to vote.

  107. Yes, because they are u.s citizens and they should have a right to vote. it would be unfair for them. if others states can they should be able to too.

  108. I think that the people of Puerto Rico should be able to vote because America owns it just like a state and that means they would also be citizens too

  109. I think that Puerto Rico should be given a vote in the U.S presidential election because they are apart of the nomination process. They are a U.S territory and they should have all the same rights as citizens who do live in the 50 states.

  110. I think they should be given the ability to vote in the Presidential elections. If they can choose the candidates to become president, why can’t they pick the president? There’s little difference between the two. Additionally, all U.S. citizens over 18 without severe crimes on record are allowed to vote. So, unless Puerto Rico is being punished for it’s lack of statehood, it’s citizens should be allowed to vote for the U.S. president.

  111. Yes, i think that they should be able to vote because they are a part of the US. And if they are a part of the US then they should have a choice in who governs them.

  112. I think that they should be able to vote for our president because they are considered U.S citizens, and all US citizens 18 and above are given the chance to vote. So, it’s just like saying people from Michigan can’t vote, it’s just not fair.

  113. I think that they should be able to vote for this years election because there apart of America so if its a free country why wouldn’t they be able to vote for their country? Even though there a small part of the country they should still have rights like any other American citizen does. I feel that they have total right to say who they want in this years election.

  114. I think they should be able to get a whole vote because the president and government affects them just as much as it affects all the other states. Therefore, they should be able to vote this November.

  115. Yes i think they should be given a vote because well they are U.S citizens too. They have the right to vote like we do. It’s their president to so they should get the right to vote for which one the want.

  116. I think they should be able to, because they are US citizens and they have similar rights to us. If they’re included in the other processes then they should be included in the final voting also.

  117. Yes because since we are U.S. citizens and they are too, they should be able to vote. And it wouldn’t make sense for them to be apart of the nomination process and then not be able to vote.

  118. I think since the people of Puerto Rico which are U.S citizens are able to choose who is running for what party they should be able to vote because they are controlled by the person who they can’t vote for let them choose.

  119. Puerto Rico should be able to vote for the president, they are still affected by the government so they should have that right. Any one of them 18 years or older should be able to have a say in who there president is.

  120. I think that they should be able to have a vote because they are technically American citizens so, they have the right under the Constitution to do so.

  121. The people of Puerto Rico are US citizens, and it should be their RIGHT to vote for the American president. It only seems right.

  122. Yes, because they are still apart of the U.S.A. so our president is also theirs. They should vote for their president like us.

  123. Yes, I think they should be given a vote because they are still part of the U.S. and they have to do everything the rest of the country does. It would be extremely unfair if they didn’t get to vote for their new president when the rest of their country does.

  124. NO, they should not have a say or vote in the presidential election because the president will do nothing for them and they have nothing to do with us. Only the people who live in the united states should have a say in the elections held here in the united states.

  125. I think that the people of Puerto Rico should be given the right to vote. They will be living under the rules and they will be living under control of the coming president. They are a part of the United States whether they are states or not. We get to vote for ours they should vote for ours also.

  126. Yes, since they are U.S citizen so in my opinion yes they should have the right to vote this November.

  127. i think that they should vote because they are efectid by the out come of it i also think that we should pay more atenshon to them

  128. I think that they should be able to vote for the president since they are a part of the United States. If they are U.S citizens they should have the right to vote like we do this November.

  129. I think they should because if they can be in the nominating process but not in the voting process doesn’t make sense that they can’t vote. Also they are a a U.S. citizen so they should be granted the right to vote.

  130. I think they should because they are part of the United States, and every person legal person needs to be ale to have a say in November.

  131. i think yes because they are part of our country, and if they abide to some of our rules and follow our laws, they should have a right to vote for who is going to make those laws for them.

  132. Yes, because they are part of the united states and they already vote for the nominations so why not let them also vote in the presidential election.

  133. Yes because they are part of the United States. They have the same president as us so they should be aloud to vote. If we have the right to vote, they should to.

  134. I think residents of Puerto Rico should have the right to vote because they are engaged with our country, just like Hawaii and Alaska. Even though they’re far off and they’re islands, they still get the right to vote for president, so why shouldn’t Puerto Rico be allowed to.

  135. yes, the people of Puerto Rico are citizens. I f some is a citizen and Puerto Rico is a state holding a primary it should be able to vote

  136. Yes Puerto Ricans should be allowed to vote for the president because the decisions the president makes also affect them even though they are just a territory.

  137. Yes because they are U.S citizens.

  138. I dont know if they should be allowed to vote or not.

  139. Yes, any United States citizen should be able to vote because every vote counts so everyone makes a difference. Since they are part out the United States, they should have all the rights that we do.

  140. Yes I think that they should be given a right to vote, because they are considered U.S. citizens.

  141. i think that they should because if they are apart of the u.s. they have the right to vote. 😀

  142. Yes, I think if Puerto Ricans are U.S citizens, then they should absolutely get a vote. It would be the same as any other U.S citizen and there is no difference with them. The vote effects them too so they should have a say on who the president is.

  143. I think that since they’re U.S citizens they should be given a vote.

  144. yes, i think they should because they are able to vote for who they want in the republican side of the upcoming race. so they should be able to vote for who they want to be their president. they are part of the united states they should have a choice.

  145. I think that since they have to abide by the United States laws, they should get a say in who makes them. At the same time I think that if they are citizens, and can vote, the country should become a state.

  146. I believe that the people of of Puerto Rico should be able to vote, because they are American citizens.

  147. I think they should be able to vote. They are a U.S. citizen. So, if they are that, then they should be able to vote. There really isn’t that much to say about this, but i really think that they should be able too.

  148. yes i think they should be able to vote they are a us territory and have to abide by united states laws so there for they should have a say in their leader and a say for laws

  149. I think that they should be able to vote because they are us citizens and if they are they should be able to “choose” the president just like any other us citizen.

  150. I think that the people of Puerto Rico should be able to vote because they are citizens of America, they help our military and give us more man power overall.

  151. I Think that they should be able to vote as well because they are part of the Us and it is like a big point of the Us having the rights to vote.

  152. It’s simple, if they pay taxes they should vote. If they spend money to support our country, they should get a say in how it is run. They are not sub-human and they don’t deserve to be subjugated.

  153. Yes, i think that since they are U.S. citizens they should be able to vote. We are U.S. citizens and we get to vote, they are U.S. citizens they should be allowed to vote.

  154. I think they should because there part of the U.S.

  155. yes i do think the people of portico should be able to vote. The reason for this if they are us citizens they should be able to vote. Also why wouldn’t people want them to vote it gives them more of a chance to win.

  156. Since they are technically a part of the U.S they should be able to have a vote in the presidential nomination. It would be unfair to not let them have a say in the election.

  157. Since people who live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens and are a part of the nomination process for the U.S. presidency should they be given a vote in the presidential election which will be held this November?

the people who live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens they should be able to vote the way we do.to make it more fair for them and make it so they are not isolated from the U.S.

  158. i think the people of Puerto Rico are us citizen so they should have the right to vote. it is like saying Hawaii can’t vote because it isn’t physically connected to the larger part of the united states it wouldn’t be fair for anyone. in puerto Rico everyone who is a us citizen should have the right to vote, is it not america who owns it? is it not part of our country? they have as much of a right to vote as anyone in Michigan, new York, or California.

  159. I think the people of Puerto Rico should get a vote since they vote for a nominee, you might as well vote for the end result. However, I think they aren’t a state yet, they aren’t a full part of the U.S. so I think they shouldn’t get the right to vote. Once they’re a state they should get the same rights that we do.

  160. I think they should have a right to vote. They are apart of the united states. And in the united states EVERYONE is supposed to be equal. They should be able to have some say in who is going to be leading them in the next four years.

  161. I think that Porto Rico should be able to vote in our election. If they are under United states territory then yeah they should be able to because it would be fair for them to elect whose running their government too. If we didn’t include their vote then that would be cutting in on their right of speech.

  162. I think that Puerto Rico should definitely be given the right to vote, if they’re run under U.S. law then they should have the chance to help pick the president. Puerto Rico should get a say this November.

  163. since the people in Puerto Rico are U.S citizens and part of the nomination process, I think they should be able to vote this November. I think that it’s not fair they don’t get to vote yet even though they are part of the U.S and nomination process.

  164. I think that if they can vote in the nomination process then they should be able to vote in the presidential election. Because 6their people too and should be able to vote if they live on US land. So they should be able to vote, the end.

  165. yes because their in the us and they should have and do all of the same things other people can do in the us. yes they should have a vote in choosing the us leader.

  166. Puerto Rico should be able to vote. They are not a state but a territory. Why not, they have issues to and they need to have them expressed. What could it hurt to give people who should have the right to vote, the right to vote? Absolutely nothing , this should have immediate action. We didn’t let great Britain do it so why should we now. if they want to vote though they should pay taxes.

  167. I think that Puerto Rico should have the right to vote because their a U.S. territory. They’re Americans and all Americans have the right to vote. They follow the same laws and restrictions we follow in the U.S. I think that Puerto Rico should have the right to vote for our Presidential election.

  168. i think this is a good thing to help handicap people being able to do more things by using robotic meterial to give them body movement.

  169. i think they should be able to vote because, if their country is apart of ours then they should be allowed to vote for their new leader so they should be able to be heard for their own beliefs.

  170. yes, i believe if the people of Puerto Rico are considered US citizens they should have a right to vote. i feel that since we are so accepting of people coming to america and equality then they should be treated as such. i don’t see as to why they aren’t allowed to vote as it is. that’s like saying people who live in Georgia are considered US citizens but aren’t allowed to vote.

  171. I think that if Puerto Rico is to be considered a part of the United States, then the citizens there should have the right to vote in November in the presidential election. They’re affected by the decisions that the president makes just like the rest of the US, yet they aren’t supposed to vote. It doesn’t make any sense.

  172. Puerto Rico is influenced by the nomination results of U.S candidates. For this reason, i believe that if they are being impacted, then they should have a say in it. People of Puerto Rico are U.S citizens even though the territory is not an official state. It is only fair that they have the right to be involved in the nomination process.

  173. I believe that they should be able to vote if they are U.S. citizens.

  174. I think they have the right to vote because they are apart of the United States to. Its not far for other parts of the United States to be able to vote, and then have them not be able to.

  175. i don’t think its fair for them not to be able to vote there part of america aren’t they, there is no reason why they cant vote.

  176. I think people in Puerto Rico should be able to vote because they are technically Americans that live under our laws, and if they nominate the candidate they should be able to vote for them.

  177. I think yes, they should be able to vote. If they are United States citizens how could we not let them. If they are being ran by our government they should be aloud to have a part in who controls it. There isn’t a good reason to say no.

  178. I think the people who live in Puerto Rico should be able to vote considering they are a U.S. citizen. Why let them be a part of the United States if they don’t have the right to vote? In all honesty, that is not fair to the people who live there. In this way, the people who live there have to be lead by someone they could possibly not like. They have no other choice because they don’t get a say, even though they are considered part of the U.S.

  179. even if they are a part of the US they are not an actual state. they should get some rights to vote but not all of them. if they want to vote for the president then they should move over to a state and then vote. but they still get a say in who the president is going to be

  180. Yes i think that they should have the right to vote for the U.S. president, because they are citizens of the united states. I also believe that this shouldn’t be a problem, or a question, it should be handled like any other voting place.

  181. i think that if Puerto Rico is able to vote in the nomination process then they should vote in the final vote. if they get to vote the should be able to vote for everything.

  182. I think they lived in america sure but if you are living some where else why would you care at all about the government of another country?

  183. I think yes because if they nominate the candidates they should be able to vote for them. Also they are pretty much citizens of the United States.

  184. Yes, because they are legal US citizens. It’s their constitutional right to be able to vote for president.

  185. I think anyone who is a citizen of the United States should be able to vote. If this is also going to be their President, then they have the right to vote.

  186. I think that since Puerto Rico is considered a United States territory, Puerto Ricans should have a right to vote. They’re technically Americans, they live under our laws, and have many similar rights. Also, they participate in picking our next Republican representative with the counting of delegates and all that, so why shouldn’t they be able to participate in the actual election?

  187. I think it is unfair that Puerto Rico gets to have the ability to vote for the nominee. They vote every year whether or not to become a state and gain the ability to vote for the president. If they do become a state they would have to pay federal taxes, since they choose not to become a state they can’t be touched by the federal law. They get to much say in the U.S. as it is for not paying taxes to it, but I do believe that they should be American citizens.

  188. I do not think Puerto Rico should be able to vote in the Presidential Election because only states are given the right to vote in our country. I do think Puerto Rico should be able to request statehood, however. If they want to become a state, they can but their people keep voting not to become a state. If they choose not to be a state, they don’t have to pay taxes, but do not get the option to vote. I don’t think they should be able to vote for the nominee, because they can’t vote for the president anyway.

  189. I think the Puerto Ricans should gave a right to vote for the president because they are part of the US.

  190. Yes they should because they are people that need freedom too.

  191. This one is a little tough…..But i’m taking the side of the southerns down in the Caribbean. They are the property of the U.S. They are the cousins of our nations people. They deserve to vote for the person who will probably lead us into a never ending pile ‘o’ poo. I mean i don’t care either way but i say, if they want to vote…..then god let them!

  192. Yes, they should be apart of the U.S. election because they are U.S. citizens and apart of the United States. If Puerto Rico is allowed to vote for the U.S. election there will be more votes which causes a higher chance of one of the electives to win.

  193. I think that Puerto Ricans should be able to vote because they are a U.S. territory and are affected by the president because the U.S. laws exist there to. If we can vote why cant they?

  194. I think that Puerto Rico deserves to be a state not just a territory anymore, and they more than have the right to vote for the nominee this November

  195. I think that puerto rico should be allowed to vote in the presidential election in November, because they are still apart of the U.S.

  196. I think those people should be allowed to because even though they are not apart of the U.S they are still considered a U.S citizen so they should be able to vote because they have the right too.

  197. I think that the peurto rican citizens should be given the right to vote, if they are citizens of the U.S. then they should be able to participate in voting.

  198. I think they should because US citizens have the right to vote and i they are US citizens they should be aloud to vote

  199. I think that the people of Puerto Rico are considered U.S citizens, and should have the right to vote. I believe this because they are a part of America and should be included in all things political.

  200. Puerto Rico shouldn’t be allowed to vote in the presidential election because they are a territory and not a full state. I do think that voting fir the candidates is right but not for the president. They don’t follow the same exact things that a state does like they don’t have to pay taxes and such. If they were to become a full state then it would be right for them to vote for the election but since they are only a territory then i don’t think they should be allowed.

  201. they can vote if they have a green card but if they don’t i think they should not have the right to vote.

  202. I think that The puerto ricans should be able to vote for president because they are U.S. citizens and they have our rights. Just because they live away from the U.S. in the ocean. It would be like Hawaii and Alaska not being able to vote because they arent connected to the Unites States.

  203. Puerto Ricans should definitely be allowed to vote because they are U.S. citizens, and they are affected by laws and actions that our government make. It does not matter where they are located, they are a part of us even if they are detached from the mainland. Hawaii is an island, yet they still get to vote. It is ridiculous to say that a U.S. citizen cannot vote because of where they live. If a Puerto Rican moved to one of the states, they would be able to vote. Our president is their president (or at least they are affected by him) so they should be able to give their opinion on who it should be. What is the difference between allowing them to be a part of the nominating process and allowing them to vote? There is no difference!!

  204. Yes because if they are part of the united states then they should have full part in voting for the president.

  205. If the people are allowed to participate in these then they should be allowed to vote for the president. If they are using are government and part of are government then they should be able to decide who is in there government. They get a little power in the vote by being able to nominate delicate.

  206. I think since Puerto Rico gets to take part in helping elect the candidates, they should be able to vote for the president. If they don’t get to vote for the president then what’s the point of them even having a primary.

  207. The people who live in Puerto Rico should be given a vote in the presidential election because they are also U.S. citizens. If they have to follow U.S. rules they should be able to vote on who helps make them.

  208. Yes I think they should be able to vote in the election. If they are a part of the U.S and have to follow the same laws and vote in the nominations then they should get a say as to who their new president is going to be, as it effects them just as much as it would somebody in Michigan.

  209. I think that Puerto Rico should get a presidential vote because they’re part of the United States so they should be able to vote for their president as well as us, even if they aren’t a full state.

  210. i think they should be part of the vote because they are legalized american citizens and they have their right to vote.

  211. Yes because we have the same president and they have the right to vote on who ever they want because they have the right to.

  212. yes they should be able to take part in the election because they are US citizens and they have a right to be able to vote for their president.

  213. Your Question:

Since people who live in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens and are a part of the nomination process for the U.S. presidency should they be given a vote in the presidential election which will be held this November?

    Why or Why Not?
Yes, i do think that Puerto Rican citizens should be able to vote for the US president because they ARE US citizens!

  214. i do not believe that Porto Rico should vote because they are not a part of the U.S., they are only a territory that governs on their own.

  215. If they are part of the United States, then yes they should be able to vote. It’s their president too, and the decisions of the president, will be affecting them too.

  216. yes, i think that they should because they are part of the us, if they are part of the united states and other people have the right to vote they should be able to vote too.

  217. I think they should be able to vote. They are a part of the U.S. and considered citizens. If they have a say in the nomination process I think that they should have the right to vote.

  218. I think they should get the right to vote because it should not matter where they live it should just be the fact that they are U.S. citizens. It doesn’t make any sense to restrict their right to vote there and yet if they moved to Michigan give them the right to vote. Where you live doesn’t make you more or less capable of voting.

  219. Yes because they are technically US citizens and should get a say in who is president even though they are not part of a state. Also because they could be a deciding factor if the election is close. And all US citizens should have the right to vote for who they want.

  220. The people in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico are technically U.S. citizens, enjoying many of the same rights and living under the same laws that we do here in the contiguous 48 states. However, although it does hold its own primary, the territory cannot vote in the Presidential elections. I think we should change that law, and allow all territories to vote in all of our elections. It is only fair, considering that they’re Americans too.

  221. i think not until they reach the population requerments.

  222. i think they should be able to vote. if they are already participating in the nomination process the should be aloud to vote.

  223. i dont think portrer rico should be able to vote for the president because they dont attribute to the u.s ecconomy or help us out they also dont pay taxes or any other type of payment to the u.s. the only way i would let them vote in the election is if they had to pay taxes like the rest of the working american people

  224. I think they should be able to take part in the election, they are part of the U.S. so even through they are not a state they should still get the chance to vote for the person that is going to represent them and make laws for their area.

  225. Yes, i think Puerto Rican Citizens should be able to participate in presidential elections because they are U.S citizens and I think they should be part of it as much as any other U.S citizen.

  226. I believe they have a right to choose the president because they are controlled by us so they should be allowed to have a say in what president is chosen and the candidates that run for presidency.

  227. I do think they should be able to vote for the president. If is there president too, then they should be able to vote also. We get to vote who our president it so they should be able to vote for their president.

  228. I do think that people in Puerto Rico should be able to vote in the U.S. election. I think this because Puerto Rico is a part of the United States, so whoever becomes president will affect them. This means they should be able to vote.

  229. I think the people in Puerto Rico should be allowed to vote, if they are American citizens, they should be able to. It is Equal Rights, that’s why this country was made. So every man would be equal, and if the people don’t get to vote down in Puerto Rico, that is not equality. And it goes against the Constitution.

  230. Yes, because they are apart of America so they should get the same respects and values.

  231. Yes i think that the people of Puerto Rico should be allowed to vote for president. I think that because of equal rights plus the are American citizens.

  232. If it’s a U.S. territory, it should have a role on what happens in the U.S. The people of Puerto Rico are probably very angry with the United States for not getting the chance to pick the person who will represent their country. My question is, if Puerto Rico will do anything to receive the opportunity to vote this November or years to come.

  233. Yes, Because they are still part of the U.S so their president is going to be our president.

  234. Yes i think they should because they are apart of the u.s so why should we not let them. Puerto Rico isn’t that big and i don’t know how many people live there so it wouldn’t make a huge change in the presidential race

  235. yes because all american citizens are able to vote so why are they not able to vote. they are american citizens and they should be given more rights as Americans. why have them participate in the nomination but not the other the presidential in November

  236. Yes they should be able to vote if they are US citizens. They are apart of this country, so they have the right to be able to vote for the person who runs it. Yes, it is not a full united states territory, but if they are citizens they should be able to have a say in the ruler.

  237. i think that they should be given the right to vote. they are u.s. and the u.s. has always stood up for freedom so they should provide it to all citizens. its just like Hawaii isn’t connected to the u.s. but are still a part of it.

  238. yes hey should be able to vote because Puerto Rico is a part of the nomination process for the U.S. presidency and yes hey should be able of vote in the presidential election

  239. Yes, if Puerto-Ricans are US citizens and are in the nomination process I don’t see any reason they shouldn’t be allowed to vote for president. It may not affect them but every citizen over 18 should have the right to vote

  240. Yes i think they should get a vote because they are part of the U.S and they are U.S citizens so they should be able to vote for the president this November. Also if they are part of the U.S they should have a say in who is the president

  241. I think that if they are U.S citizens then yes they should, because there already part of the U.S so why shouldnt they be able to vote, I think that a little over the top to not let your own citizens vote for your your president.

  242. I don’t even think they should be part of our country. They are their own and they are not our problem. So I don’t think they should be able to vote or even say a say into the voting issue. If they all don’t speak English then they are not part of the United States.

  243. I think that citizens of Puerto Rico should not be allowed to vote. I think this because even though it is a U.S. territory they are usually left to do what they want. They do not live in the United States so they don’t truly know how we live and they cannot tell what the best decision is. Though they may be able to hold Nominations, i disagree that they are suitable for selecting who should be president next. Puerto Rico is also a very different place, even though it is a U.S. territory, it is not a full United States nation. They may run things differently and we wouldn’t want them to choose the person they think is best and ruin the entire country, though they may be small they can make a large difference.

  244. I think Puerto Rico should by allowed to vote for president since the vote for nominees for president i don’t know why the are US citizens but cant vote. Why are they treated differently than the rest of us it does not make since

  245. I think it would only be fair to them if they could vote. If they are U.S. citizens then they should have the same rights as us. What’s the point in having them be a U.S. citizen if they can’t vote for the person that is “ruling” them?

  246. I think that they should be given a vote in the presidential election processes this November. i think this because they are all american citizens all they have to do is move up to america to vote so why not let them vote form where they are at? Its like were getting rid of them from our government which makes it unfair

  247. I think they should because are part of the United States. Also everybody should be able to vote. If they voted there could more votes for a person that could win if we let them vote. It would not be fair to not let them vote.

  248. I think that they can have the right to vote if they are part of the US. Everyone should get the chance to vote. I think that it would be good if all US citizens voted they need to right amount of vote from everyone that can vote. So yes they should be able to vote.

  249. Yes, I believe people in Puerto Rico should be given a vote in the Presidential election in November because they are U.S citizens, why should we treat them any different than we treat ourselves.

  250. Yes I do think that they should be given a vote in the presidential election. If they are part of the U.S then they should be able to vote for the U.S presidential election. They shouldn’t be able to just be a part of the nomination process.

  251. Yes they should get the right to vote. If they are part of a U.S Territory, then they should be able to vote for president. What happened to “All men are treated equally”? We have to stand by that, and if we don’t stand by it then what kind of government does that make ours look like?

  252. I think that since Puerto Rico is considered part of the United States, there should be voting there. I think that it should be claimed as a state and we should have government over there. Why is because just because all of the other states were not claimed by other countries when we first got, it would be weird if we did not consider those a part of the United States.

  253. i think that they should be able to vote because they are a part of our country. and the never did any thing wrong to us so theirs no reason they cant vote.

  254. I think they should if they are citizens in the US everyone should get the chance to vote and have a say. Also in the end they could have a big effect on the votes for the election. Also every US citizen has the right to freedom of speech and the right to vote so why shouldn’t they?

  255. i think that the people of puerto rico should have the right to vote.they are US citizens just like you and me so why should they be treated any different. the only difference between Michigan and puerto rico is that puerto rico isn’t a state. but i do still think that the people in puerto rico should be able to vote.

  256. I think they should cause it is a right being a us citizen to be able to vote. Puerto Rico could have a dramatic impact on the outcome of the election

  257. i personaly think that its a good system down in puerto ricobecause when a canidate gets 50% or more of the votes that canidate gets all the delagates

  258. I think that they should be able to vote. They are American citizens so, if they are over the age of 18 then they should have the right to vote.

  259. I think they should have a vote. This is because they have a right to choose the leader as much as we do considering it’s their leader to. The president’s decisions affect them to so they should be able to vote.

  260. Yes they should be allowed to vote because they are US citizens and have the right.

  261. I think that they should be able to vote because they are part of our country. I feel that if they are not going to let them vote it would be like not letting Alaska or Hawaii vote. because they aren’t connected to the main land.

  262. yes because they know more about this then we do and they get were they are coming from

  263. Yes, I think they should be able to vote. Considering they are U.S territory. That would be like taking voting rights away from us. If there aloud to be apart of the nomination process, then they sure should have the ability to have some say in the voting process. We are U.S territory, we have the right to vote, why don’t they?

  264. I think if your apart of the nomination process they should be about to vote. Its like inviting someone to your wedding shower but not inviting them to your actual wedding. You just don’t do it. If were are not going to let them vote we shouldn’t let them hold a primary.

  265. People who live in Puerto Rico should have the right to vote. If they are American citizens there is no reason not to let them. All Americans over 18 are allowed to vote and that should go for Puerto Rico too.

  266. Even though they’re still part of the nomination process i think they shouldn’t. They aren’t a u.s state and they don’t really affect the outcome. Its not fair anyways, you shouldn’t vote for the president of the u.s unless you live in the u.s.

  267. If they are U.S citizens then i think they have the right to vote for the presidential election.

  268. due to them being us citizens, they should be able to vote, also its a right that everyone should, and is able too.

  269. yes because if they count as part of america they should be able to vote since their so called part of america

  270. I think that they should have a vote for the next election. This could really help candidates in their running for president.

  271. Yes, I think they should be able to vote in the presidential election because they are U.S. Citizens had should have the right to vote.

  272. I think they should because if they’re U.S. citizens but they live in Puerto Rico they should still get to vote, they’re still american& still are citizens, just because they are on a island looking thing doesn’t mean they should have their votes taken away.

  273. Yes because if they get to hold primary’s and vote for a delegate then they should be able to vote for the next president.

  274. Since Puerto Rico is apart of the states that yes they should have the vote as well. That would not be fair to not let them vote. America is a fair country and would be doing a good thing to let them vote as well for the election held in November.

  275. yes they should be able to be part of everything

  276. Yes i think everyone should be able to vote……because leaving people out wouldn’t give them a full count on how many votes they got or get…..so i believe they have a right to vote also….

  277. if they feel the need to vote in that election, then yes they should be able to vote.

  278. I think they should because they are U.S. citizens and they have the right to vote for who ever they want. If other states can vote, they have the right to.

  279. Yes, because they are a part of the united states, and if our president is also their president, they should have a vote to who should be their president. Just like we have a vote to who should be ours!
