Yesterday the New Orleans Saints of the NFL received their penalty for running an illegal bounty program through their team. The bounty was centered around the idea of players receiving “under the table” (not a part of their contract) payments for hits that injured other players during games. Included in this was the suspension of their head coach Sean Payton (pictured below) for the entire season, and $500,000 worth of fines.
Your Question: In your opinion was it alright for the Saints to run a “bounty” program which promoted injuring opposing players for money? WHY or WHY NOT?
