In 2010, each person in the United States generated nearly 41/2 pounds of solid waste, trash every day. Around 34 percent of that waste gets recycled.
Eighty-one percent of Americans switched from regular light bulbs to energy-efficient fluorescent bulbs. Seventy percent go with reusable grocery bags instead of paper or plastic and 1.2 million American homes use solar power.

I think in stead of banding high school football we should change some rules, because some high school students love this sport and they want to pro-sue this as a career.
I think it is a very important day to celebrate. It is important that we all remember that we need to take care of the place we live. If we don’t we could seriously harm our future and future generations as well.

The biggest thing that I do that is technically “Green” is doodling on my school papers instead of using other papers. This would fall under the category of reuse except I mainly do it before I turn the papers in but sometimes I use them after that and put them in a recycle bin for the most part. Other than that I don’t do anything to help save energy or protect the environment. I use Hydrofluorescent MagicalTech that contain nuclear grade space matter.
Of course i think it’s important. People need to be smart in this kind of situation you know. We NEED to do the 3 R’s..REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE. It can help our environment.
Yes i think it is important. and i recycle pop cans. and for water bottles we just keep them to save money and the environment.

Yes I do think that Earth day is an important day to celebrate. Its important because it teaches people about trying to keep the Earth clean and recycle. I recycle and i change my light bulbs to the environmental ones.

I do believe that Earth Day is a day that is important to celebrate because throughout the world, many people are making dumb choices that they don’t realize. Yes, i do feel Earth Day is a semi-important day. I dont want to say it is important, because it is not really, well, needed. I do like it, just because it may convince people to stop littering. A single volcano eruption puts out more “harmful” stuff than even a giant city could in a year.

Yes, I think Earth Day should be celebrated. Usually I don’t do anything for Earth Day, but this year I was planning on shortening 5 minutes of running water in my house (showers, doing dishes, etc.) I was also going to find any papers around my house that I don’t need, and I was going to recycle them, along with plastic bottles.

I think that Earth Day is great to do more then what we normally do. I think that even though there is one day to help clean the Earth is great but people shouldn’t just stop there they should help keep the Earth daily. I recycle and if I see a piece of trash on the ground I pick it up and through it away usually.

Earth Day is important to celebrate. It represents the importance of a clean earth and how we need to do certain things to keep it clean for future generations and such. I always shut the lights off when I leave a room and I recycle all of my pop cans and bottles.
i think earth day is important because it helps protect the enviornment. i dont do anything for earth day because i dont know when it is. even if i did know when earth day was i probobly still wouldnt do anything
I think that Earth Day is an important day to celebrate because it help become more aware of what things they should do to help our planet. Also i think that some states should make Earth Day much more important. I do really small things to help the earth like shutting off the lights when not using them, turning the water off when brushing teeth, also using energy efficient light bulbs. I think that more people should care about how they treat the planet and we should all try to take care of it.
I do believe that Earth Day is an important day to celebrate. It gets everyone in the spirit of recycling, saving energy, and just helping the earth in general. I do a few things on a daily basis to help the earth, but they’re all things that I was taught to do in elementary school. Like shutting of the lights when I leave the room, and turning of the water when I’m in the middle of brushing my teeth. They’re just little things, but they do help.

I think earth day should be celebrated. It is the one of 365 days in a year that we actually take the time to help the enviorment. We can take 24 hours and help out the earth. My family recycles cans and paper everyday to help out the earth. More and more people are helping out the earth and taking part in earth day. Even if it is just cleaning up trash outside, it can make a big difference.
earth day is way more important to most other people but to me its just another day. some people are crazy full blown tree hugers that go all out on this day and tell us that we dont do enough to help the earth. the thing is i do some stuff but that’s not enough to some but i don’t care, but i do recycle cans and bottles
Alright my blog just got deleted. So I’m not re-typing it. I said earth day was good, we recycle, and we changed all to energy saving bulbs.
I believe Earth Day is an important day to celebrate because it shows people that our environment is important and we need to keep it clean. If our environment isn’t clean it just show the kind of people and it affects it in negative way, so we need to keep it clean by picking up after ourselves and recycle. At home I recycle and use florescent light bulbs to save energy.
I do think earth day is important because it is our duty as humans to keeps this planet clean. Many people each year recycle but also many liter and do other things harming us and the environment. It is nice to have a day where everyone comes together and does very little but helps very much.

I don’t feel it’s entirely necessary for people to dedicate a particular day to helping the earth, if you are concerned with it you should think about it every day, not just one a year. No one seems to do anything on earth day either. I try to respect the earth and avoid particularly damaging it, but I honestly don’t go out of my way aside from picking up any litter I see
I believe that earth day in an important day to celebrate, because it helps with the pollution that is in the air that is caused by us, and the goal is to try to minimize that.

Yes I believe Earth Day is an important day to celebrate. If you look at all the positive changes we have made in our country to try to save energy, save animals, and just be a clean country.. I’d say we’ve made much of an impact. My family recycles plastics, and paper. We use fluorescent light bulbs, and when we do stuff throughout the yard, we make sure we put nothing out there that could hurt animals.

The only thing my family does on a daily basis is recycling. We wouldn’t have started recycling if it wasn’t for the garbage people giving us a recycling bin. We never really have bottled water so i guess that helps too.
I think that it should be celebrated, but not very much, I guess it is important to recognize how important the Earth is to us, so it should probably be celebrated. I sometimes try to do things to benefit the Earth. Some things like shutting off the water when I don’t need or recycling my empty bottles.

Yes I do think it is important to celebrate Earth day because this is our home and we should be helping so that we can stay on Earth. Helping in my family is recycling every Friday and using the light bulbs that are more efficient.

I do think that Earth Day is important because even though we should be doing this everyday of the year to help out our Earth, if there is a specific day that is made to help make our Earth cleaner and recycle more. People may start to just do it more often once they realize how beneficial it is. Usually I do something to help out on Earth Day but this year, I kinda forgot about it. i believe that, while important, earth day is relativity useless. the vast majority of the population that cares about the environment who shall do something is already informed about it. i could use less water
